Aarogya Vahini Trust (“AAROGYA VAHINI TRUST,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”) operates the website www.srisathyasaiaarogyavahini.org (the “Website”) under the brand name “Sri Sathya Sai Aarogya Vahini.” This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the Website, why we collect it, how it is used and protected, and the choices available to you. It is meant to be read alongside our Terms & Conditions.
This policy is published in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Information We Collect
We only collect information that you choose to submit to us through the forms on this Website:
- Contact form: your name, email address, and message.
- Volunteer sign-up: your name, email address, phone number, and the area you wish to volunteer for.
- Career applications: your name, email address, phone number, the role applied for, and your CV/resume file.
- Donations: your name, email address, mobile number, PAN, and address. PAN and address are collected because they are legally required to issue a valid receipt eligible for deduction under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961, and to prepare the Trust’s annual Form 10BD statement of donations filed with the Income Tax Department.
We do not directly collect or store your card, UPI, or net-banking details. Donation payments are processed by Razorpay, a licensed third-party payment gateway; we receive back only a payment status and a payment reference ID, never your full payment instrument details.
We do not currently use advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies. The only cookie set by this Website is a session cookie used solely to keep our own staff logged in to the content and donor management dashboards; it is not set for, or accessible to, ordinary visitors browsing the public site.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to enquiries submitted through the Contact form.
- To process volunteer sign-ups and career applications, and to get in touch about them.
- To process donations, issue an 80G-compliant receipt by email, and maintain the donation records the law requires us to keep.
- To comply with applicable tax, accounting, and other legal or regulatory obligations, including annual Form 10BD filing.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party for marketing purposes.
Sharing of Information
We only share personal information where necessary to operate the services above:
- Razorpay (payment processor), to complete and verify donation payments.
- Income Tax Department, Government of India, as part of the Trust’s annual Form 10BD filing for donations eligible under Section 80G.
- Government or law enforcement authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information.
We do not share your information with any other third party without your consent, except as described above.
Data Retention
Donation records, including the personal and tax-related information described above, are retained for as long as required under Indian income tax and accounting law. Contact, volunteer, and career submissions are retained for as long as reasonably needed to act on them, or until you request their deletion (see below).
Data Security
Personal information you submit is stored in a access-controlled database and is not publicly browsable. Donation payments are handled entirely by Razorpay over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection; we do not store your card or bank details ourselves. While we take reasonable measures to protect your information, no method of transmission or storage over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Your Rights

Children’s Privacy
This Website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children without the consent of a parent or guardian.
